Last summer 7UP again brought ‘new’ designs on the market that we cannot just let this pass us by. 7UP actually launched the limited edition vintage cans.
This refers to a limited, nostalgic edition of designs that were released in the last century ranging from the thirties to the nineties.
This series of vintage cans is a successor to an introduction which 7UP made earlier this year with a completely new design. This new design, which also shows a kind of classic look, was released by 7UP as a tribute to its 85th anniversary.
‘If you put all these designs in a row, it is immediately apparent that the logo and artwork of 7UP has regularly undergone rigorous changes over the years’ a 7UP representative said. The new series of vintage cans was brought to the market in connection with the current trends and the recurring designs from last century.
The brand itself says that the goal has always been to connect with the new spirit of the relevant times. It is great that 7UP can reproduce the rigorous changes to show what 7UP has done in the past 80 years and in this way also show a piece of history. Certain designs will also bring consumers a piece of memory and nostalgia. The iconic design such as the flower power design is reminiscent of the seventies, while the dot design clearly comes from the disco years (eighties).
This way, consumers can, for a moment, be very trendy and keep pace of the times, because the seventies and eighties are now very trendy again.
