The world’s most famous brands
Recently, the list of the world’s 100 most famous brands of the year was published, and once again, it featured no less than 11 drinks brands. You won’t be surprised with some brands’ top positions in the top-100 list.
Although with a 7% reduction, its growth dropped considerably, Coca Cola was third on the list, while competitor Pepsi ended in 23rd place following a growth of 3%.
The ranking is based on three factors:
- The role in influencing consumer choices
- Financial performances
- The brand’s power to realise premium prices or to ensure profits
According to Interbrand, there are several shared characteristics that each brand on the list has, such as a clear brand image, the tendency to exceed standards in the sector and the capacity to realise impressive progress. Naturally, a well-founded growth strategy is an important foundation for this.
Interbrand also writes that it is important to intensify contact with stakeholders, because “a more personal approach is an essential element of the brand and its continued growth”.
View the list below if you’re curious which other drinks brands ended in the top 100.
