If you’re living in the U.S. you’ve probably ever heard of Steaz, which is not a completely new, but still a growing brand. Even though it’s not as known as a big player like Arizona, this brand of canned organic green tea drinks and energy drinks has met with generally positive reception.
FastCompany and Greenopia have considered Steaz to be one of the most eco-friendly beverages available and in 2007 Steaz was named as the 19th best Food & Beverage company. Naturally, it’s products are all Certified Organic by QAI and Faire Trade Certified by TransFair USA.
Initially, Steaz products were found only in local groceries and natural food markets but nowadays they’re even available in Wholefoods, Target’s and Kroger’s.
Recently Steaz has launched a new line consisting of cactus water products. The prickly pear cactus water is from Mexico and blended with certified organic, fair-trade green tea from Kenya and packed with natural electrolytes, antioxidants, reduces inflammation and other great health benefits of the cactus.
It seems like Steaz is enjoying the momentum of low-sugar, plant based waters.
The category plant water has high expectations amongst analysts and trend forecasters and is even expected to double sales to $5.4 bn. by 2020 according to data from Zenith Global.
